MEET THE WEATHER WOMEN
Jessica Moore, Meteorologist
Jessica Moore is a meteorologist, travel writer, and professional photographer born and raised in Colorado. Her passion for storms began at a young age as she encountered the wide range of dramatic and exciting weather in Colorado growing up. Movies like Twister and the TV series Storm Chasers further inspired her desire to learn the science behind the weather. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Geoscience (concentration in Operational Meteorology) from Mississippi State University, all while storm chasing and applying her weather knowledge in the field as she captured unbelievable storms on her camera. During that time, she has also worked as a field correspondent for WeatherNationTV, and her extreme weather photos and footage have been featured on 9News, Denver7, The Weather Channel, AccuWeather, ABC, NBC, CNN, CBS, and published in Cosmopolitan Magazine, the Bulletin for the American Meteorological Society, and more. She now owns her own storm tourism business which operates storm photography tours that travel the USA, offering world-class instruction on storm photography, forecasting, safe positioning around storms, and much more. She is mom to a 13-year-old daughter who she hopes to inspire to follow her dreams and goals in life, even if they may seem a little less than conventional. She has taken her storm chasing with her periodically. Her daughter has already seen 3 tornadoes with Jessica and hopes to see many more.
